Fondazione Invernizzi and Milano Musica – A New Synergy for the 34th Festival

March 18, 2025 – Together for Contemporary Music

On the 34th edition of Milano Musica Festival , taking place from 26th April to 6th June 2025, entitled “Fiori, tempo, respiro” (Flowers, time, breath), Fondazione Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi announced its new collaboration with Milano Musica.

This initiative confirms the commitment made by the Foundation to become a well-established venue of cultural dialogue and research, open to innovation, to new generations of musicians and to contemporary music enthusiasts.


2025 Festival was presented at a press conference held on 18th March in Ridotto of Teatro alla Scala and was dedicated to Francesco Filidei, one of the most original artists in the contemporary music landscape. The program featured 28 symphonic and chamber concerts exploring the work of the composer from Pisa, in a dialogue with great masters ranging from Liszt to Berio, and from Messiaen to Ligeti.

Events at Palazzo Invernizzi

The programme of the Festival involved the collaboration of Fondazione Invernizzi and Milano Musica that took shape in two events offering the audience an opportunity to delve into Filidei’s work and the languages of contemporary music.

Thursday, 3rd April, 7 PM – Screening at Palazzo Invernizzi of Francesco Filidei’s opera “Giordano Bruno”

The first event featured a screening of Giordano Bruno, an opera by Francesco Filidei that explores the Italian philosopher through intense and dramatic musical narrative. Widely praised by critics, the opera stands out for its rich orchestral writing and powerful sonic dramaturgy. Prior to the screening, a conversation was held between the composer and musicologist and critic Paolo Petazzi.

Tuesday, 13th May, 7 PM – Conversation at Palazzo Invernizzi with Tito Ceccherini, Francesco Filidei, and Quartetto Prometeo

The second event was a soirée dedicated to exploring the contemporary musical repertoire through the insights and experiences of conductor Tito Ceccherini - renowned for his interpretations of contemporary music -, Quartetto Prometeo, one of the most internationally-acclaimed chamber ensembles, and composer Francesco Filidei.
