“RacColti sul fatto. The agri-food sector you would not expect”
12th March 2026 – “RacColti sul fatto” was launched, the agri-food podcast produced in collaboration with storielibere.fm and science communicator Chimicazza

Fondazione Invernizzi has expanded its commitment to science communication with “RacColti sul fatto – l’agroalimentare che non ti aspetti”, the new podcast produced in collaboration with storielibere and science communicator Chimicazza
The project aims at offering the general public an informed and accessible perspective on a sector that is often covered superficially by the media, despite being central to today’s economy and society: the agri-food system. Through eight episodes, published every fortnight on major streaming platforms, the podcast explores the complex interplay of science, economics, technology and culture that is transforming the way we produce, distribute and eat food.
Telling about food through science
How much does the food we put on our tables actually cost? How are technological innovation and climate change transforming agriculture? What skills and jobs will emerge in the agri-food sector in the next few years?
“RacColti sul fatto” attempts to answer these questions, through the voice of Chimicazza – an organic chemist and science communicator known for his direct and ironic style – who takes listeners on a journey through data, scientific research and expert testimonies.
Each episode is built around a “word of the day”, a key concept that serves as the starting point to deal with a complex topic using clear and rigorous language.
“Money” is the starting word to understand the agri-food sector’s weight in the economy and what really lies behind food prices. “Dose” lets us explore the relationship between diet, health and risk perception, in a society where food is more strictly regulated than ever.
The word “Hybrid”, on the other hand, introduces technological transformations in the sector and the emergence of new professions combining agronomy, data and innovation. With the word “Sustainability”, the podcast deals with the global challenge of feeding a growing population whilst reducing waste and inefficiencies
The journey continues with “Identity”, applying to the relationship between food and culture, and “Adaptation”, which explores how agriculture is responding to the effects of climate change. The word “Balance” examines the role played by livestock farming in contemporary food systems, whilst “New Frontiers” looks to the future of food production, from emerging technologies to experiments in space agriculture.
Eight keywords used to explore the food supply chain, global challenges and innovations that are reshaping our relationship with what we eat.
A science communication project
The podcast is part of Fondazione Invernizzi’s broader commitment to fostering knowledge and dissemination of scientific culture.
Professor Giuseppe Bertoni, President of the Invernizzi Foundation, has pointed out:
"RacColti sul fatto aims at contributing to a more informed public conversation about the agri-food sector, a key area for health, the economy and our future. We believe in the value of rigorous yet accessible, reliable and transparent science communication: bringing research, innovation and society into dialogue means offering practical tools to navigate data, perceptions and false myths. Fondazione Invernizzi considers this podcast as a cultural investment in younger generations and quality information.”
