11th July 2025 – Global demographics at the core of the new initiative by Fondazione Invernizzi and Neodemos

On Friday 11th July at 10 a.m., on the World Population Day, Palazzo Invernizzi Conference Centre (Milan) hosted the first edition of “Mutamenti. Le popolazioni nel mondo oggi e domani” (Changes. Populations in the world today and tomorrow), the new series of meetings promoted by Fondazione Invernizzi in collaboration with Neodemos, designed to deep dive into the major demographic changes that are transforming the present and will profoundly impact the future.

Understanding the future through demography

In an era marked by rapid change, understanding demographic trends is crucial to direct social, political and economic choices. The first edition of “Mutamenti” offers a historical and scientific approach to interpreting changes underway, by enhancing the contribution of demography to the development of future scenarios.

Internationally-renowned experts dealt with pivotal issues such as population ageing, migration, climate impact, food sustainability and global health.

Guests included professors Giuseppe Bertoni, Massimo Livi Bacci, Patrizia Farina, and Professor David Reher, who gave a lecture entitled “Surveying the demographic landscape of the twenty-first century and its implications around the world”..
