18th - 21st may 2026 – Philea Forum 2026

Fondazione Invernizzi took part in the Philea Forum 2026 in Copenhagen, one of the leading international events dedicated to philanthropy and social innovation. The Forum brought together foundations, international organisations, researchers and professionals from a range of countries to explore an increasingly urgent question: how can we build fairer, more sustainable and more inclusive transitions for people and the planet?
One of the clearest messages to emerge was the deeply interconnected nature of today’s challenges. The environment, health, education, culture, research and social cohesion can no longer be addressed in isolation. The complexity of our time calls for approaches capable of bringing together different areas of expertise, languages and perspectives.
In this context, philanthropy must also evolve. Its role is not only to support change, but to rethink how it operates through more open collaboration, interdisciplinary approaches and a greater ability to translate knowledge and research into concrete action.
Key insights from the Forum
Among the most thought-provoking insights to emerge from the Forum, particular attention was given to the need to develop new tools and new ways of communicating in order to engage people more effectively. Art and science, data and storytelling, research and participation are increasingly at the heart of projects born from the intersection of different disciplines. Their aim is to make complex issues easier to understand and accessible to wider audiences.
The international dialogue also reaffirmed the value of collaboration between institutions and countries—not only as an opportunity for discussion, but as a practical platform for sharing methodologies, data and best practices.
Fondazione Invernizzi contributed to this collective endeavour by sharing a vision in which scientific innovation, culture and social responsibility can advance together.
One important conclusion emerged from Copenhagen: creating real impact requires building connections between knowledge, people and institutions. For Fondazione Invernizzi, supporting research, public engagement and interdisciplinary projects means helping to build a society that is more informed, resilient and better equipped to navigate the complexities of the present and create a better future.
